COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS for ANY DANCER, from ANY STUDIO with ANY Dance Background, from ANY HIGH SCHOOL!
ELITE Dance Studios is proud to present the first college scholarship program ever offered in dance to the Santa Clarita Valley, Castaic and surrounding areas. Always leading the way and never leading dancers astray... ELITE is thrilled to continue to give back to the community by reaching out to High School Seniors who are headed off to college.
ELITEʼs colossal love for dance is not the only reason why they have decided to reward the young dancers of the Valley...with owner Jacqueline Hillʼs continued travels working in dance, dance training and entertainment she is constantly reminded of the promise a young dancer must make to themselves to cultivate their craft and the art of dance. Discipline, devotion, focus...the work they have to do. Having enjoyed tremendous success in dance herself; she is excited to lend a helping hand to other dancers as they pursue their personal dance journey.
Dancers from ANY dance studio, ANY High School and ANY dance background can apply to receive one of the scholarships. The extra financial assistance will help take some of the burden off of Mom & Dad and a little extra spending cash is always fun to have!
The scholarships will be awarded to dancers based on numerous things including (but not limited to) dance ability, performance experience & history, community service, citizenship, school grades and a dvd entry of each dancer. Applicants are not required to be attending college for dance.
University, college, junior college, trade school...it doesn't matter!
ELITE Dance Studios is here for you! The application process is a simple one. All students are encouraged to apply; simply click on the pdf links below and follow the application requirements listed.
DANCE PRESENTATION
The dance presentation recorded to dvd must be an accurate representation of each dancers body of work. Not to exceed 15 minutes in length. All materials should be labeled with dancer name, title of each piece (if any), choreographer of each piece, and year completed. Applicants dance presentation may include all styles of dance in any of the forms listed: performance, rehearsal, class, and a new audition recording all preferably within the past two years.
DANCER STATEMENT
The Dancer Statement should include your reasons for wanting to be a dancer, a description of dancers and/or work that you admire, and your academic and artistic goals. Your statement should be 300-500 words (double spaced) in length. Be sure to include your name at the top of your statement.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
A letter of recommendation from a current or past instructor familiar with your dance qualifications should be included with the application.
TRANSCRIPT(S)
Copies of your official high school transcripts should be submitted with the application.
DEADLINE
Return the completed form along with your dvd and dancer statement by
