At ELITE Dance Studios we understand and appreciate how fortunate we are. We get to live in a world of dance that excites and impassions us. Our students and studio families motivate and inspire us constantly. We get to share our love and knowledge of dance with thousands daily. How lucky we are…and now we are spreading the love to many across the world. Not just dance its self but our tools. “How?”
We are very proud to announce that we are offering a “shoe recycling program” right here at ELITE Dance Studios! The only one of it’s kind, and we are heading the way. You can now donate your used dance shoes to a program that will get them ready to be given to those less fortunate than ourselves. We are so excited about offering this recycling opportunity. Now when you grow out of your dance shoes you can pass them on for someone else to use. If you know you need new dance shoes, don’t wear them out, pass them on. Imagine…another child dancing in your “feet”…how delightful!
We have partnered up with One World Running out of Boulder, Colorado and can’t wait to get our first shipment to them. The One World Running community numbers in thousands and we are thrilled to join their network. Any and all kinds of dance shoes are welcome to join in the fun. We are also taking used running shoes into our collection, so please don’t hesitate to drop those off too! The more we can recycle the better. Men’s, women’s, and children’s shoes are going to dance and run with people in Haiti, Central America, and sub-Saharan Africa. It is a beautiful thought to know that we have created movement in the very same shoes that others will create movement in again! Currently One World Running hosts run/walks in several countries in conjunction with the shoe distribution. How exciting it would be to take a group of dancers to those same countries and share our love of dance and movement with them…as we look to our future at ELITE Dance Studios that day is soon in the making!
